Jamshedpur: Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari Yojana launched, 436,439 beneficiaries eligible for benefits
Jamshedpur, September 22: Under the Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari program launched today by Chief Minister Hemant Soren from Dumka, a total of 436,439 beneficiaries will be covered by the program in the district. Dhoti-lungi will be distributed in the 60-40 ratio.
On this occasion, a district level program was organized in Ravindra Bhawan, Sakchi. MLA Ghatshila Ramdas Soren, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi, MLA Bahragora Sameer Mohanty, Deputy District Commissioner Suraj Kumar, SDM Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Prasad, Special Division Officer Naveen Kumar, ADM Law and Orderier Nandkishore District Supply Rajiv Ranjan, DRDA Director Saurabh Sinha, SDM Ghatshila Satyaveer Rajak, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar, DPRO attended the program.
On this occasion, the dhoti-sari / lungi was distributed to the 100 beneficiaries by the representatives of the public and the representatives present.
The program is designed to provide dhoti / lungi-sari to beneficiaries covered by the national food security program for only ten rupees. Under this program, a sari and a dhoti / lungi will be provided on the basis of each ration card to beneficiaries covered by the national food security program.
Under the program, clothing will be distributed among beneficiaries through the public distribution system. For this, beneficiaries covered by the National Food Security Regime will need a ration card and a certificate. District Procurement Officer Rajiv Ranjan informed that the number of ration card holders under NFSA in East Singhbhum district as of 03.31.2021 is 436,439 who will benefit from this program. Dhoti-lungi will be distributed in the 60-40 ratio. A total of 872,878 items of clothing will be distributed in the district through store operators in the public distribution network.
