Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Seun Fakorede, announced the recipients of his first “TheSeunFakorede Tech-Learning and Scholarship for Youth” scholarship in the state.

The program, which was created on September 30, 2021, in partnership with the Utiva technical team.

Fakorede, while announcing the winners, said: “Out of the approximately 7000 applicants, I am delighted to announce the 22 winners of this strong scholarship.

He continued, “As we all know technology is the future of Africa, I am so honored to be able to help these exceptional young people embark on their journey to a better, secure and rich future career in technology. and artificial intelligence. “

He further congratulated all the beneficiaries, adding: “I wish you all the best and look forward to your successes.”

Among the beneficiaries are Damilola Babatunde, Ajayi Ibukun, Ibekwe Simeon, Tijani Olatunji, Chiamaka Gabriel, Blessing Oludele, Farotimi Tomisin and 14 others among undergraduates, graduates, civil servants, young employees and unemployed.

Responding, one of the beneficiaries, Ajayi Ibukun, law graduate, said, “Hon Fakorede’s efforts to raise young people are laudable, if everyone can imbibe them, we will all fight poverty and unemployment. , I am truly grateful to be a part of this pattern.

Another beneficiary, Simeon said: “I’m happy to be a part of this, kudos to the Commissioner for setting the tone again.”
